Punxsutawney Phil Lies

Hey all you bass fishing people, I've now bared my prayer with you.
I'm sure hoping and praying that Punxsutawney Phil did lie! What the heck... It is March, and all of you that have seen my profile know- March is the month I've been waiting for! The bass are going to start feeding again! Watch and see.

I was checking out the weather for the next fifteen days on our WEATHER PAGE and it sure looks promising for us Central Floridian starting probably next Saturday- if not sooner!

With daytime temperatures climbing toward the eighties we will see lake temperature moving back up and the bass activity get back to its busy ways.

I suggest that you start getting your fishing lure and stuff in order this week as the fish are sure to be biting... keep in mind they haven't eaten but the bare minimum to sustain themselves through the winter, but now their mouths are going to start working before their brains again as they head back into their predatory senses. So... get ready now.

(Oh, and by the way getting ready also means getting your string, lures, hooks, etc so click the yellow above and begin your browse!)

Bass Pro Shops Tournament Series Softbaits - Floatin' Worms

Here they show us the pink worms, but read on...

These highly-effective soft plastic Floatin’ Worms stay near the surface and have proven to be irresistible to bass. You can float these worms head-up on top, through heavy cover, or over grass beds to call up the big ones. Floatin' Worms are especially deadly suspended off bottom on a Carolina rig. Length: 6''. 18 per pack.

When your looking at the worms on that page, look at the numbers "03" and "85". These are my preference when I fish because of their dark colors.

Zoom Soft Plastic Baits - SS+ U-Tale Worm Zoom Soft Plastic Baits - SS+ U-Tale Worm

There are plastic baits, and then there are Zoom baits. The difference is undeniable. Want proof? Just take a peek into your favorite tournament angler's tackle box, and start counting the Zoom bags. For those who lay it on the line every time out, there can be no other choice. Every Zoom soft plastic bait is wholly realistic, super-soft to the touch (for the extra action needed to pull that reluctant money fish) and salt-impregnated to hold even the most tentative bite. The SS+U-Tale Worms are another one of Zoom's truly-impressive big bass baits. Deadly on virtually any rig and under any conditions, the SS-U-Tale Worms U-shaped tail creates the strike-enticing flutter and vibration big bass almost always react to. Size: 6''. 20 pack.

    Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap Mini-Trap Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap Mini-Trap

Hit 'em hard with one of the most effective lipless crankbaits of all time, the legendary Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap Mini-Trap! Rat-L-Traps are a proven choice when fish are feeding on smaller forage. Its lifelike detail and ability to produce sounds nearly identical to those of schooling baitfish under attack are just two reasons more pro anglers CHOOSE to use Rat-L-Traps when targeting largemouth, smallies, white bass and many saltwater species. 1/4 oz. Bleeding Shad colors all have bright red treble hooks.
